Ktizos Community

Good design should serve the public.

We believe in giving back. Every 6 months, we open applications to design and build a complete digital presence for a non-profit or public-benefit project, entirely free of charge.

A digital presence should not depend on a large budget.

Community organisations often put their resources where they matter most: the people they support. A clear website, accessible information and a reliable way to get in touch can be left waiting, even when those foundations would make the work easier to find.

Ktizos Community reserves time for that gap. The programme applies the studio’s design and engineering practice to a public-benefit project, without a design or development fee. The purpose is practical: help people understand the organisation, find the right support and take part in its work.

One carefully scoped engagement every six months allows the project to receive sustained attention. Selection centres on the organisation’s purpose, the people it serves and whether a new digital presence can remove a specific barrier.

Make support easier to find.

Clear service information, readable pages and simple contact routes help someone looking for assistance understand where to begin.

Give the mission a clear voice.

A considered identity and well-organised content explain the work to volunteers, supporters and the wider community, without unnecessary complexity.

Leave something manageable.

The handover should suit the team that will use it. Content guidance and clear ownership matter as much as the launch itself.

How it works

A holistic review of your application.

01

Application Open

We accept applications from organizations making a tangible difference. Tell us about your mission and the bottlenecks holding you back.

02

Holistic Review

Applications are reviewed for public benefit, a clear need and the team’s capacity to contribute content and feedback. The strongest fit is a project with a defined audience and a practical problem that design and technology can address.

03

The Build

The selected organisation works with Ktizos on an agreed scope. This can include a bespoke website, a clearer identity, structured content and relevant search or workflow improvements. The priorities are decided around the organisation’s needs, rather than a fixed list of features.

What to share when applying.

A short introduction is enough to begin. Explain who the organisation supports, what it does and what is difficult about its current digital presence. Include any existing website, available content and a person who can coordinate decisions.

Before work begins, the scope, timeline, ownership, handover and any third-party or ongoing costs are agreed in writing. The programme covers the agreed design and development work; hosting, domains and future maintenance are clarified separately so there are no surprises.

An application is an introduction, not a commitment to a build. If a project is not selected for the current cycle, the organisation can still stay in touch about a future opportunity.
